

Maruti Suzuki has unveiled its first electric car built on the Heartect-e platform, the E Vitara at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. India launch is planned around March this year. The SUV will rival with Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta EV, Mahindra BE 6 and MG ZS EV.
E Vitara offers two battery packs of 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The 49 kWh battery is powered with front wheel drive with an output of 144 ps power and 190 Nm torque. On the other hand, 61 kWh offers 174 ps and 190 Nm torque. Claimed range is estimated to be 500 km.
On the exterior, E Vitara offers a muscular front stance with matrix LED DRLs and headlamps making it a futuristic design. The wheel arches on the side profile makes it a more crossover design. Also 18 inch aerodynamic alloy wheels and rear door handle mounted on the C pillar are some additional design elements.
Unlike other manufacturers, E Vitara tail lamps are connected with a gloss black plastic panel instead of LED light bar.
Maruti Suzuki E Vitara offers a re-designed dashboard layout with black and brown colour theme with soft touch elements. The SUV also offers 10.25 inch infotainment system with wireless android auto and apple car play, newly designed 2 spoke flat bottom steering wheel and fully automatic AC.
The center console include a rotary gear selector along with electronic parking brake with auto hold. It also offer physical buttons for 360 degree camera, drive and snow mode selectors.
Other feel good features include 10 way powered driver seat, wireless phone charger, 7 airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system and Level 2 ADAS tech.
