What are HSRP Number Plates?

HSRP Number Plates are tamper resistant, accepted license plate made of aluminium. They have embedded security elements like laser engraved identification number, hot stamped film with IND mark, retro reflective sheet for night visibility and chromium based hologram with Ashok Chakra Image.

These are designed to prevent counterfeiting and unauthorised tampering. HSRP consist of three elements, namely:

1. Front Number Plate

2. Rear Number Plate

3. Colour Sticker for vehicles with front windsheild.

  • Select High Security Registration Plate with Coloured Sticker, if you want to apply both. There are other categories also to choose from.
  • Enter your details like state, vehicle registration number, vehicle chassis number and engine number .
  • Submit the required details and select fitment location and time slot for appointment.
  • Verify your details and pay the desired fees as shown.
  • Some states have also started home installations.

 

Cost of HSRP Plates:

Two Wheeler: Rs. 200-400 approx.

Four Wheeler: Rs. 500-1000 approx.

Heavy Vehicles: Rs. 800-1,200 approx.

The cost usually includes fees, plates and installation fees.

What are Colour Coded Stickers?

Colour Coded Stickers have become mandatory along with HSRP Plates. These stickers indicate the vehicle’s fuel type and unique serial number of the HSRP plates.

Different Colour Coded Stickers include:

Blue for vehicles running on Petrol or CNG

Orange for vehicles running on Diesel 

Green for vehicles running on electric batteries (EV)
